The jaded daughter of a dead preacher-man caught in an exodus, Ethel Cain winds her way through a dizzying attempt at escape from her suffocating upbringing only to find herself crushed within its jaws in the end. Multimedia artist Hayden Anhedönia is the architect behind every aspect of the Ethel Cain project. After over four years of meticulously constructing her debut album and the visceral, haunting world that accompanies it, Preacher’s Daughter, was released in May 2022 to critical acclaim. When the record was later released on vinyl in 2025 it debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Top Album & Vinyl Sales charts nearly three years later. Preacher’s Daughter is now available for the first time ever on CD and cassette.
